'The Hyena Has An Invite' is partially inspired by 'The Debutante', an incredible short story by Leonora Carrington, and by the need to hold on by any means necessary.

Initially, this began as a much more rock orientied classical composition, as can be found in the b-side, but changing a piano for a wailing gothic synth while bringing in elements like a vibraphone to round out the lead melody brought it somewhere else.

Less typical, but more satisfying for these insatiable times.
